SMS opt-in
GoText is a messaging tool used by organizations to run text groups and send announcements. This page describes how people join those messages and how they leave.
How you opt in
- You give your mobile number to the organization in writing, on a signup form, or in person.
- A group admin adds your number to a group at your request.
- You text the organization's number first and ask to be added.
When you are added, the first message you receive says which group added you and how to leave.
What you receive
Group conversation messages and announcements from the organization you joined. Messages may be SMS or MMS.
Message frequency
Frequency varies by group. Message and data rates may apply.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from that number. Reply START to rejoin. Reply HELP for help.
Carriers and costs
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message and data rates may apply.
